Getting Started
Goban3D is free to download on iPhone®, iPad®, and Mac®. The app includes a 3D board and a 2D board, four board textures, eight stone textures, and full accessibility support — all at no cost. You can play against a local opponent on the same device, or simply place stones freely to study positions and problems.
If you're new to Go, visit the How to Play page for an introduction to the rules, scoring, and basic strategy.
Ads & Subscriptions
A brief interstitial ad appears after each game. You can remove all ads with a yearly subscription (£7.99/year — prices may vary by region; the exact price in your local currency is shown at purchase). Manage or cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone or iPad.
If you've subscribed but are still seeing ads, try restarting the app. If the issue persists, please email us and include your Apple ID email address so we can help investigate.
In-App Purchases
Additional board and stone texture packs are available as one-off purchases from the in-app store®. These are tied to your Apple ID and can be restored on any device by tapping the restore button inside the store. If a restore doesn't work, make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you originally used to purchase.
Accessibility
Goban3D has 100% accessibility coverage across all seven of Apple's accessibility categories: VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, Voice Control, Reduce Motion, Reduce Transparency, Sufficient Contrast, and Differentiate Without Color.
If any accessibility feature isn't working as expected for you, please get in touch immediately. Accessibility is a core part of this app — not an afterthought — and I take every report seriously. Feedback from players who use assistive technologies is the single most valuable input this project receives.

Goban3D has an active beta testing programme through Apple's TestFlight®. Beta testers get early access to new features and updates, and their feedback directly shapes the app.

Bug Reports
If something isn't working right, please email support@goban3d.com with as much detail as you can: what you were doing, what happened, and what device and iOS version you're using. Screenshots or screen recordings are always helpful. I respond to every report personally and can often release a fix within days.
